San Diego based producers Misk and EshOne have been shaking the foundations of the dubstep world for years now, and this is more than evident on the first vinyl offering from RoguePlates – Texas Pete and Face Down in the Muck. “The word muck is used in the title….and appropriately so… The tune is dirty! Local SD Producer/DJ Austin Speed has come with a huge double release on Rogue Dubs, a stateside dubstep label that has been making serious moves as of late.
The first tune, Full Clip has some rolling percussion that is sure to make the dancefloor get swanky, while the flip, Bloodbath has probably the most intense and rewind-ready drop/bassline that has come out of SD so far.

O.G. SDDubstepper Misk has put out one of the most wicked tunes I’ve heard this year on Terminal Dusk Records. First time I heard this track on a system was at Kava- 6Blocc dropped it and the room went nuts!

“Terminal Dusk pulls together a fine selection of junglist weighted dubstep. Senseless Records contributor Sasquatch drops the digi-dub murder weapon ‘Funeral’ next to the gutter sludge junglism of Vescicle’s ‘Streetwise’ on the A-side. On the flip The SubDivision’s ‘Le Mani Su’ crushes a synth driven rave cut deep into the groov while Misk finishes up with the hard and raw ‘Headcase’ for the nasty crew. Fans of Starkey’s Seclusiasis bunch should check this.”

Sddubstep.com has only been around for about 5-6 months. Since I have started, it has grown to over 100 web hits a day, 600 feed hits a day, 2,600 twitter followers… Bigger than I could ever have thought would happen within a year. Due to our success, we partnered with Sublmnl Sound System here in SD, and Big Up Magazine up in SF to bring two events to San Diego:
The Invasion Feat. Sukh Knight
All I have to say about these events is this:
